Hey guys, can you believe we are rolling into Month 2 of 2021. I don’t know about you guys but it has been a long month. Last week I knew I talked a lot about finding your people, a group that will celebrate you, help you grow, pull you out of your funk. This is your accountability group. If you aren't sure who that is for you, think about the people you call when something great happens, or when you are going through something tough. When you want to quit, who do you call? They are your accountability partners in life! As you try new things, fitness programs, businesses, or lifestyles do it with an accountability partner and your chances of success are much higher!

Something I learned

Intermittent Fasting is the talk of the fitness industry. While fasting may sound a bit intimidating, most FASTer Way Clients find that it’s actually much simpler than they thought it would be. In fact, it usually ends up being one of their favorite things about the program! If you aren’t familiar with this trending term, here’s a deeper dive into why it’s a highly effective strategy to burn fat. Intermittent Fasting isn’t a diet or quick fix, it’s a lifestyle that incorporates periods of eating with periods of withholding food. There are several ways to practice Intermittent Fasting, but in the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, we suggest the 16/8 protocol. This means each day you will fast for 16 hours and consume all your food for the day in an 8-hour window. We do not cut calories, we simply eat them in a shorter window during the day. If you try this strategy without fueling your body correctly the day before, under eating, you will struggle and be very hungry, and I definitely do not recommend it. Something I’m Loving

Who got an Air Fryer for Christmas? This girl did! We have tried all kinds of things, chicken breast, broccoli, fries, egg rolls. My mom purchased my NuWave 7.25 quart Air Fryer. The kids really like prepping their lunch using the Air Fryer also. The large basket is great for our large family, but I still have to do multiple batches. So cooking wings for 5 of us, takes a really long time! I have heard about the Air Fryers that have double racks, that could be a game changer. Pampered Chef has an all in one Air Fryer with 2 racks, Rotisserie and Dehydrator. And they are 25% off until Jan 31st. I don’t have this one personally, but I have friends that do and they love it. I will say I have a ton of Pampered Chef products that I received from a wedding shower almost 20 years ago that I still have and use everyday. Their products are amazing, so I’m sure this Air Fryer won’t disappoint.




On the Menu this Week

Steak, potato and veggies - Pick your steak of choice, grill it, cook it inside whatever suits you. You could include a Baked potato or a sweet potato with your favorite vegetable to get those carbs in. Cook an extra steak for tomorrow's Low carb lunch.


Crockpot Enchilada Chicken - 6 ingredients in a crock pot is a win in my book. This is a great option for a busy night, with lots of leftovers. Great with tortillas, over rice, in a lettuce wrap.


Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry - This recipe takes the traditional Chicken Teriyaki and swaps out a few items for a cleaner version. A couple of different ingredients you might not have on hand - coconut aminos is used in the place of soy sauce and arrowroot flour, but I think Almond flour will work just fine.


Coke Meatballs & Mashed Potatoes - this is an alternative to meatloaf. This is not exactly a “Whole foods'' meal for all the FWTFL clients, but it's worth it. My family is split on this one. Some prefer regular meatloaf and the others prefer Coke Meatballs. They like this paired with mashed potatoes and green beans.


One Pan Creamy Garlic Shrimp - (I don’t use ghee, I'll use butter or avocado oil)This dish can be whipped up in under 30 minutes and is wonderful for the whole family. I serve this over white rice.


Red Beans and Rice with Sausage - This is an easy and delicious take on a Louisiana classic that you can prepare and cook in 40 minutes! I use Holmes Jalapeno sausage, you could use turkey sausage to cut down on the fat, but not the flavor. Season with hot pepper sauce if you like. This is another option with dry beans in a Crock Pot Red beans and Rice


Chicken Fajitas - I have become a big fan of this Fajita chicken Marinade so I use it all the time. Bigfoot will grill and I’ll prep all the toppings. EASY CLEAN UP and leftovers!
