October 25th - 31st

Man, what a great 1st week for my FASTer Way clients!  We learned about Intermittent Fasting, and how to Track our Macros in MyfitnessPal!  I personally learned how to have Facebook Live training, and I get to practice again this weekend.  This week we will be learning about Carb Cycling and what Macros are.

This week's menu:

I do have a couple soups this week that can be made in the crockpot for busy nights, and because I’m pretending it's Fall in Texas.  You could move these dinners around to fit your busy schedule.  For example, with Saturday being Halloween, you might want to move a crock pot dinner to that day. There is also a recipe from the FASTer Way meal guides, but you could search on pinterest for something similar.

Steak, potato and veggies - Pick your steak of choice, grill it, cook it inside whatever suits you.  You could include a Baked potato or a sweet potato with your favorite vegetable to get those carbs in. Cook an extra steak for tomorrow's Low carb lunch.

Homemade Hamburgers - (Low carb day FWTFL) - Burgers at home.  Load it up with all your favorite toppings; bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato ,onions, pickles etc.  You could even make it a double meat, just go bunless and enjoy!  Make extra for tomorrow’s Low carb lunch.

One Pan Lemon Chicken -(Low carb day FWTFL) This is a FASTer way menu idea from Oct 12-18.  The basic idea is lemon chicken on a sheet pan with some veggies (broccoli, brussels sprouts, potatoes etc) all on the same pan.  Cook at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cook enough to have leftovers for lunch, add a potato or rice for a carb.

Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup - Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup is a staple recipe year round! It’s unbelievably easy to prepare —we are talking 15 minutes prep — and it has such a well seasoned, fresh and satisfying flavor.

Red Beans and Rice with Sausage - This is an easy and delicious take on a Louisiana classic that you can prepare and cook in 40 minutes! I use Holmes Jalapeno sausage, you could use turkey sausage to cut down on the fat, but not the flavor. Season with hot pepper sauce if you like. This is another option with dry beans in a Crock Pot Red beans and Rice

Vegetable Beef Soup - Vegetable Soup is hearty and savory, full of nourishing veggies like tomatoes, corn, green beans, celery, and potatoes, ready in under 45 minutes!

Roasted Lemon and Garlic chicken Quarters - The chicken quarters make an excellent dish to serve for any day, but cook time is a little longer, so I usually save this for a weekend meal.  Cook extra and you can pull it from the bone and have shredded rotisserie chicken for the week.  Steamed carrots and baked or mashed potatoes are my kids favorite sides to this meal.
